Why on the outside? In case we carry it hanging from the cart or in the basket so that it does not get wet in case of rain. On the outside, if we put shoes that are usually, at least, dirty from dirt or normal use and, in many cases, also wet or muddy, or if we have to put dirty or wet clothes, the dirt or moisture does not transfer to the rest of clothes or items that we carry in the same bag of the child.
You can also use it to store wet bathing suits in summer or even food that may spill or crumble, such as simple cookies.
Once used and back at home, they can be washed in the washing machine as many times as necessary.
